The 7-inch, 140g special foam balls used in American Dodgeball are soft and will not be injured even if they are smashed, and the team will win the game if all the players are out of the game. The strategy is to get all the opposing players out of the game to win the game. It is an international game with a total of 40 minutes for the first and second halves of the game, and the team that gets the most games within that time wins the game.

American Dodgeball Simple Rules

The teams will have 6 players on the official field and the rest of the players will be outfield pickups. 6 balls will be placed on the center line of the field before the start of the game, and both teams will stand on the baseline, and after the start of the game they will take back the 3 balls on the right side of the field, and the first time they take the ball they will have to go back to the starting line first before they can attack. If a player is hit by the ball and the ball hits the ground, the player who was hit is out of the game and leaves the court. If the ball is caught by an opponent, or if it bounces or is caught by a player in the infield, the attacker is out of the game, and the catcher can save a teammate. The infield players are free to pick up the ball on the ground and change the ball. You can use the ball in your hand as a defense. If the ball is hit but does not fall to the ground, it will not be counted as an out, but if the ball is hit, it will be an out. Outfield players may pick up the ball outside the field and give it to their teammates inside the field, but they are not allowed to attack their opponents outside the field, or pick up the ball that has fallen inside the field or halfway across the field. ・When an offense hits more than one player in a row, all players hit are out (double or triple). The player with the ball must throw at least one ball within 10 seconds, otherwise he/she must give all the balls to his/her opponent. The game ends when all players of a team are out of the game. A 20-minute game is played, after which the field is exchanged and the first and second halves of the game are played for 40 minutes in total. The player with the most number of victories in 40 minutes wins the game.
